The attached mixer maps are for use in Cubase Audio/Score or VST, and should be used in conjunction with the SW1000XG soundcard.

To load the mixer maps please refer to your Cubase owners manual on how to SETUP MIXERMAPS

The main part of the Mixer window is occupied by the Objects. These take the shape of faders, knobs, buttons or value displays.
You can load entire sets of Mixer Objects using the Setup Mixer Maps dialog.
The Objects can be "played", that is, used to send out MIDI data, and your actions can be recorded. This is all done using the Mixer window's Play Tool.
The Objects can be moved (arranged) using the Arrow Tool.
By double clicking on an Object with the Arrow Tool, you can set up what type of data it should send out, rename it, change its appearance etc. This is all described under the topic The Object Dialog.

Snapshots

You can set up all the Mixer Objects and store their current settings in a Snapshot, for later recall.

Creating Snapshots

1.	Set the Mixer to Local Mode so that you don't record your actions when you play the Objects.
2.	If you want to take a Snapshot of just some Objects, select these. Otherwise, make sure no Objects are selected.
3.	Set up all Objects, using the Play Tool.
4.	Click on the Snapshot button.

The Snapshot appears among the existing, with a default name.

Reprogramming Snapshots

To change the contents of an existing Snapshot, proceed as above, but instead of clicking on the Snapshot button, hold down [Shift] and click on one of the existing snapshots. The chosen snapshot will be reprogrammed with your new settings.

Renaming Snapshots

When you double click on a snapshot, a small dialog appears allowing you to enter a short name.

Recalling Snapshots

If you want to recall the settings in a Snapshot, without making them a permanent part of your Song, proceed as follows:

1.	Set the Mixer to Local Mode.
2.	Click on any of the Snapshots.

The setting for each of the Objects included in the snapshot get sent out.

Applying Snapshots

You can recall a Snapshot and record its settings directly into a Part.

1.	Make sure you have a Part at the position from which you want to record so that there's something to store the setting in!
2.	Put the Mixer in Write mode.
3. Either...
Set the Song Position to the point where you want to record the Snapshot and click on the Snapshot button that recalls the desired Snapshot. Or...
Start playback, wait for the right position and click the desired Snapshot button.

Deleting Snapshots

To delete a Snapshot, click on it with the right mouse button and then click Delete in the dialog box that appears.

The pop up menu in the top left corner of the mixer map window allows you to choose between the three "modes": Local, Write and Replace.

In Local Mode, nothing you do in the Mixer window gets recorded into Cubase. This is the mode to use if you want to "play" the mixer objects manually, edit or create new objects.
In Write Mode, everything you do gets recorded, whether Cubase is playing or not.
Replace Mode is mainly used when Cubase is stopped, to replace all settings at a certain position.

See the documentation for more information on how to record Mixer actions in your Cubase users manual.

The mixermaps enclosed offer control over the synthesis and effects/mixing facilities for both audio & midi data on the SW1000XG.

All of the parameters are clearly labelled, and follow the same approach as used by XGworks.

Full technical support on the use of the enclosed mixer maps is available at www.steinberg.net or www.xgfactory.com
